Lights On! In Tulsa
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Now that we have made it past Thanksgiving and the madness of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there is no denying that Christmas really is right around the corner. Christmas decorations are flying off the shelves and onto freshly cut trees from one of the area tree farms. Hot chocolate is as easy to find as a glass of cold water, and Christmas music is filling the airways on almost every station.
If you haven’t noticed, it is also quite a bit brighter around town these days. That’s because since last week the lights have been on in T-Town! One of the greatest things about Tulsa during this time of the year is the abundance of Christmas lights on display across the city. Here are just five of the light displays happening this year.
Rhema Bible Church - 1025 W Kenosha, Broken Arrow
The lights turned on November 21 and will be on every day from 5:30-11:30PM through January 1. Admission is free, there are carriage rides, hot chocolate, kettle corn, and funnel cake all available for purchase.
Glow on the Green
Guthrie Green - 111 E M.B. Brady St, Tulsa
From now until December 24, Guthrie Green has transformed into a light display with thousands of lights and live music all month. There will also be holiday themed food and specialty drinks available from Green-wich restaurant.
1709 Utica Square, Tulsa
Everything you love about Utica Square is even better this time of year. The shops, the food, all accented by thousands of beautiful lights to get you in the Holiday spirit.
Garden of Lights
Tulsa Botanic Garden - 3900 Tulsa Botanic Dr, Tulsa
For the first time this Holiday season, Tulsa’s Botanic Garden has transformed into the Garden of Lights. From now until January 6, enjoy the beautiful garden as you’ve never seen it before. Roast s’mores over fire pits, enjoy holiday music, and “reconnect with family and friends in the garden illuminated with colorful lights.”
Lights On! In Whittier Square
Whittier Square - 5 S Lewis Ave, Tulsa
Where the rest of these light shows have been on since last week, Lights On! In Whittier Square takes place tomorrow night from 5:30-7:00PM. This event is special to us here at McGraw REALTORS®, because for the last sixteen years we have sponsored this event as a small way of enjoying the holiday season with the community we love.
There will be food, hot chocolate, book bags from Santa for the kids, and live music from several groups. We will also have a place for family photos, writing letters to Santa, and even a puppet show!
If you want to brighten up your weekend as you jump headlong into the Holiday season come and join us tomorrow night, grab some hot chocolate, sing some carols, and make some new friends.
